About the Product


Imagine a delicious cup of good coffee - the aroma, the subtle edge of bitterness, and the full mouth-feel given by well brewed, freshly ground coffee.
Now imagine a sensual layer of cream floating on top of the black liquid.
So far there is nothing hard to imagine, and nothing particularly special - delicious, yes, but not that hard to come by.
Now imagine it served chilled, like a Greek café frappé, and you can suddenly see that the cream floating on top is foam - a head of foam formed from the coffee itself, so tight knit and creamy you'd swear we added dairy products.
Now you are beginning to imagine our product.
In Greece they serve chilled coffee, café frappé as they call it, by blending chilled water and instant coffee at high speeds, and adding ice and sugar to taste. The blending process causes a head of foam to form, which is stable enough to last for the time it takes to savour this product. Some people have a fondness for instant coffee, but our product has the full flavour and aroma of coffee freshly brewed from new-milled roasted beans, to give us a chilled drink with all the richness of the best coffee.
The head created at dispense by our process is so tight and creamy it really looks like cream. On closer inspection it looks like the sort of foamy head on a pint of draught Irish stout - a head so dense and tight that you can write your name on it. This head not only gives a unique visual appeal to the product, but also contributes in a unique way to its taste. It's just lots of little bubbles in the liquid, but your mouth clearly informs you that you re drinking something full, rich and creamy.
Some people take a bit of sugar with their coffee. Some people take quite a lot of sugar in their coffee, and love it sweet. Other people insist that they are sweet enough without having to add any sugar at all. Our product is unsweetened, but you can add sugar to taste with absolute ease.
Coffee can also be flavoured with speciality syrups - there's a whole raft of them on the market from cardamom to caramel, from chocolate to cherry, from cinnamon to citrus. All of these products go with our Chilled Draft Coffee. It is as easy to add one of these syrups as it is to add sugar.
Coffee can also be flavoured with many liqueurs and spirits. The obvious ones are the chocolate and coffee liqueurs, as well as Irish cream liqueur. All of these work in our product, better if anything than in hot coffee. Less obviously, citrus and aniseed and many other liqueurs blend into our product to form a harmonious symphony.
And then there are the spirits. Whiskey and coffee do something special together, the world has known since Joe Sheridan made the first Irish coffee back in the 1940's. Brandy and Armagnac, grappa and ouzo… the range is enormous - they all slip into a Chilled Draft Coffee like they had been waiting all their lives for the opportunity. All of these combinations can be simple, or further sweetened with sugar or one of the syrups to hand.
